Red Star is delighted to announce the appointment of James Brocklehurst as Sales and Marketing Director in its entertainments division. Ben Smith, Red Stars founder says, "2009 is a formative year in our dynamic development as the company expands our service offering with heavy weight players. James brings 20 years experience in engaging with 3D technologies. We are delighted to have him on board” On the appointment Ben added, “As well as working on business strategy, James will be focusing his attention on expanding the Studio’s 4D CGI movies offering for the Leisure and Museum sectors, a rapidly growing area for Red Star. James will also be involved in the development of Red Star’s in-house brands and their associated licensing programmes.”
James brings an unrivalled understanding of how to make best use of 3D technology for business benefits. He believes that his experience to-date coupled with his determination and belief in the Red Star brand, will enable sustainable growth in market share and commented “I see this as an ideal opportunity to capitalise on the relationship Red Star has already built with its client base and bring on board my skills and delivery experience which will strongly complement the approach needed to grow the business” Attracting top class candidates is testimony to Red Star’s vision to be a niche player in the CGI entertainment arena.

Red Star are proud to officially release The Curse of Skull Rock! Our latest 3D/4D attraction film takes audiences aboard a pirate ship on a swashbuckling adventure that pits plucky cabin girl Jill Hopkins against the tyrannical Captain Scabb in pursuit of the legendary treasure of Skull Rock. It will be available for licensing to 3D and 4D theatres in theme parks and other visitor attractions from November 2007. Work has completed on Voyage to Mars 3D. Produced entirely independently, this 4.5 minute ride film features a dramatic atmosphere entry sequence culminating in a spectacular landing on the planet Mars. It is available for licensing now in a variety of resolutions up to full HD, stereoscopic 3D.
